Usually, the bottom course (row) of tile must be removed to extract the old tub lip and properly waterproof the new one. We can often match and replace that single row, or install a completely new tile surround if you prefer.
Can you cut up my old cast iron tub to remove it?
Yes. Cast iron tubs are incredibly heavy. To safely remove them without damaging your home’s interior, we typically break them down into manageable pieces using specialized tools.
Should I replace my tub or use a tub liner?
We strongly recommend replacement. Liners sit over the old tub, which can trap water between the layers, leading to severe mold and odor issues. A full replacement is a much more sanitary and long-lasting solution.
Will replacing my tub fix my low water pressure?
